1900 Catawba Indian Water Pitcher

Here is another piece from that collection. I found this one interesting for several reasons. First was the thin handle. You rarely see thin handles today. Second was the red and orange colors. Several potters were guessing that some of the local red clay may have gotten mixed into the Catawba clay.
