Very Old Catawba Indian Pottery

Add to My Yahoo!
I went to see a collection of old Catawba Indian Pottery this week-end. I was not disappointed. I was interested in seeing the traditional shapes from the 1900 period. This first one is a canoe with Indian heads on each end. What caught my eye was the scalloped sides. This piece was about 12 inches long and well crafted. None of the pieces were signed.
