From David T. Collection for identification and display

The first vessel was purchased from the potter by the former owner's mother
in the 1920's, when her father was foreman for the new bridge in Rock Hill .
It was made by Martha Jane White Harris. It
measures just over 6 inches tall, and is a tan color.

The second piece came from a shop in Aiken today (Jan 9, 2006). The dealer purchased it at an auction, with no previous history. It measures 4 inches tall with the three bracket feet, and the bowl is 8 inches wide and 12 inches with the
effigy heads. There are smoothing marks both inside and out, as well as
firing burns. It is a red color.

Unfortunately, it has some damage on one side of the rim, but I believe it
could be as early as the other piece. The bowl is more heavily potted than
the other vessel , and a redder tone clay. The heads are a little less
refined as well, and not as finely attached.
